Centre of Excellence

Much of Modern Space’s 34-year growth can be attributed to a wide-angle vision of world situations and predicting global trends outside the confines of our immediate industry and marketplace. We have learned what it means to be truly agile to continually evolve. Throughout the unprecedented global events of 2020 and beyond we have scrutinized the needs of our customers and our own operations around the world, acutely aware that only time would tell what returns to ‘normal’ versus what has changed for the foreseeable future. In direct response we are now ready and excited to announce a significant step-change in our American business model. From 1st September 2023 our existing Ontario, CA factory will make way for three new facilities:

Ontario becomes a full programme activation facility focused on bringing together items we procure and manufacture in America with those we produce in our own Shanghai factory, along with our customers’ own goods where required. In direct response to today’s customer needs, this versatile business model enables hybrid supply chains to be uniquely tailored for each individual programme and project – balancing often opposing factors of cost, lead-time, customization and environmental impact.

Our new Ontario operation also integrates an advanced Free Trade Zone warehouse, international logistics, installation, maintenance and ongoing field services. Our second brand new American facility is the Modern Space Centre Of Excellence located in Oxnard, CA. Here we continue to invest in the very best equipment, future proof technologies and industry expertise making Centre Of Excellence our enviable world-class home of design development, engineering, prototypes, testing and production.
