Who are you?

If your business development style involves knocking on as many doors as possible hoping one will finally open, and relying on a list of legacy contacts, then this role probably isn’t for you.

But if you can demonstrate a high win ratio of snipering strategic opportunities to win profitable, long-term global accounts; contributing to and executing a global business development strategy; networking every angle of accounts and collaborating as part of a global team to grow business across diverse geographical regions – then we should talk.

You will most likely have been winning business in a retail design, manufacture and/or activation company, or other relevant industry for over 5 years. You will be at ease developing relationships and negotiating at senior levels of major global brands and retailers, and know how to drive international teams to help you win.

You will need to be intelligent, structured and incredibly agile in your business development approach. You’ll be a key part of evolving, executing and constantly adjusting our global business development strategy, be a collaborative team player and also have the drive and tenacity to operate independently.

What do we need you to do?

Over 30 years of very successful organic evolution we have built solid foundations for further, more aggressive growth. To achieve this we you need to:

  • Strategically identify, justify, pursue and lead the win of new multi-$M customers with the potential to go-global.
  • Collaborate as part of our international team and operate within a strategic business development framework, to which you’ll add your own opportunities and initiatives.
  • Feed from market research and intelligence to identify and pursue opportunities which we have a high chance of winning. Be focused.
  • Possess relevant depth of knowledge. You will be involved at every stage of the pitch and beyond, from influencing design decisions to contract negotiations, until you conduct a structured handover to an account management team.
  • Drive each RFI / RFP / tender process.
  • Deliver clear, structured, regular pursuit reporting; why are we going after an opportunity, how much is it worth, when will it land?
  • Create and present compelling pitches which differentiate us from our competitors.
  • Develop relationships with all key stakeholders, influencing tender processes towards our strengths.
  • Network all areas of customers to ensure long-term security.
  • Use excellent communication skills, not only with customers but to also motivate our teams that you need behind you to win.
  • Apply tuned commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Be a motivated self-starter
  • Organise, plan and prioritise yourself and others.
  • Work under pressure and across international time zones to hit deadlines, with a smile!
  • Be all about precision and the details, we don’t have space for passengers or messengers.
  • Inject your personality, experience and knowledge to continually develop who we are and what we offer.
